How Sigma 3 Kitchens Salvaged a Kitchen Nightmare
12 Mar 2026
Experts agree that home renovation can be stressful for a myriad of reasons. That’s why, at Sigma 3 Kitchens, we go above and beyond for customers who purchase our high-quality kitchens to make the experience magical. It’s rewarding work, especially when we can help a customer who has had an unsatisfactory experience elsewhere.

That’s exactly what happened with today’s customer, Adele, whom our roving interviewer visited recently at her home. A grand Hawksmoor affair, her kitchen blended Heritage Grey and Candy Floss accents with airy Portland Oak internals. In addition, she also requested a luxurious Hunter Green bootility room with rich Tuscan Walnut internals worthy of Downton Abbey. Coming up is how Adele, in her own words, “remembered how to smile” after the team here at Sigma 3 rescued her kitchen.

Interviewer: “Hey, Adele. Could you start by introducing yourself and your kitchen?”

Adele: “Hi, I’m Adele, and welcome to my Sigma 3 kitchen. So, my kitchen was three rooms, which have been knocked together. It’s quite an unusual – and possibly a difficult – shape for a kitchen. So, I didn’t feel that I could go to a normal kitchen shop. I thought I would need to go to a specialist and have something bespoke.”
Interviewer: “Luckily, we love a challenge at Sigma 3. And what’s your journey so far?”

Adele: “So, I went to a different kitchen designer in 2024 who promised me the world and caused me an absolute nightmare. Within five weeks I still didn’t have a kitchen. I didn’t have a kitchen in 2024. I was left with a part-finished disaster. And then I went into Sigma 3 in Culverhouse Cross and they wrapped me up, and they supported me. They talked me through it all, and they helped me design the kitchen of my dreams, which the other company failed to do.”
Interviewer: “Oh no! But it looks wonderful now, doesn’t it? Want to give us a tour?”

Adele: “The unit under the television here – this was an idea of Becca at Culverhouse Cross, which has worked out fantastically. I’ve got so much storage. I don’t have enough to fill it, which is wonderful!

“The pantry was on my must-have list. The previous kitchen company couldn’t produce anything like what Sigma 3 have. It’s just stunning. Not that I’m a baker, but you may think I am when the doors are open.”
Interviewer: “I see what you mean! And I love the accessories that match the Candy Floss internals. I love the bar, too!”

Adele: “The bar area grew from what I’d initially envisaged. And then I have a beautiful Bootility, which is a boot room with a utility in there. And that’s dark and moody.

“And it’s all just stunning. I’m over the moon with it. When I first saw the visuals for Sigma 3’s idea, the overall look was absolutely amazing. I couldn’t imagine it could ever look like the designs, but it looks better – it is better. The flow is amazing.

“It’s just everything I hoped for and more. And the designs were so detailed.”

Interviewer: “Did you encounter any issues at all?”
Adele: “If I had any concerns, I’d drop an email – a text. There’d be a phone call back straight away. They would come to my house straight away. And so, throughout the process, I was less nervous. I was much more excited. I still can’t believe to this day what they have achieved for me. I’m so grateful. Whilst you probably can tell, I absolutely adore all of my kitchen.”
Interviewer: “And I can see why. What are your favourite features?”
Adele: “My pantry is fabulous. It has four massive drawers in there, and you can just get so much in there.

“I have a tin cupboard, which is a recessed area that would have just not been used. So, that really helps with the shopping lists.

“The bar area is [also] fabulous. That houses everything we need, and we’ve got so much space in there. The lighting in there, again – that all comes with the Sigma 3 Kitchen. That’s superb.

“I absolutely adore my worktop with the waterfall edge. It’s so tactile. It’s stunning. And then in my bootility, I have a raised washing machine and tumble dryer. And that makes such a huge difference.

“And the storage in the bootility – hats, gloves, scarves, all hidden away. And all my shoes and boots and wellies are on display, ready to just grab and go. It’s just all so easy.”
Interviewer: “They’re all such good choices – and so well-suited to your lifestyle by the look of them. What about the service? Any opinions there?”
Adele: “From the start of the process, they’ve been absolutely amazing – always available, from the guys that delivered the kitchen on the day that they said they would deliver it – so I had a schedule, which I didn’t have before – they were here, smiling, happy.
“The guys that came to take the waste away – smiling, happy, really personable, lovely. The fitter – oh my goodness. Absolutely amazing. The electrician that was recommended – again, amazing. The guys that bought bits from the factory throughout the build – amazing.
“I couldn’t get over how lovely everybody was. The templaters for the worktops, for the mirrors: lovely. Everybody was so, so friendly and so, so happy, and I’m just overjoyed, as you know.”
Interviewer: “That’s wonderful. I’ll pass on your feedback to the team! So, I’m guessing you’d recommend Sigma 3 then?”

Adele: “I’d wholeheartedly recommend Sigma 3. They can do what you want. I’m quite sure they’ll be able to do it in the budget that you want, and they’ll give you some fabulous ideas, and you can have a stress-free fit, and a beautiful kitchen like me. And I would like to say a massive thank you to Becca and Liam at Culverhouse Cross, who were my saviours. I remembered how to smile, I’ve got my life back, and they’re a big part of making that happen.”
