Sigma 3 have ambitions to significantly grow our market share and have embarked on the largest investment programme in the Company’s history to support this growth. In 2021 Sigma 3 acquired a 120,000 􀅌2 facility in Bridgend that will operate in addition to the existing Llantrisant site. Alongside the Bridgend site, Sigma 3 have committed to significant investment in new plant and machinery across both sites which will be commissioned over the next 12 months.

Job purpose at Sigma 3 (Kitchens) Ltd

We are currently seeking a meticulous and adept Technical Author to bolster our technical team. As a Technical Author, you will hold a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and excellence of our Product Guides, Technical Manuals, and other product literature. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining and developing these documents to the highest standards, resolving intricate technical queries, and providing exemplary support to our valued clients.

  • The ability to produce visually attractive technical documentation.
  • Excellent editorial judgement with attention to detail and high personal standards for quality
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills, and the ability to work to tight schedules independently and in collaboration with others.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

You will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring Product Guides, Technical Manuals and other literature are updated and maintained to the highest quality standards, ensuring all communication aligns with our brand ethos.
  • Liaising with suppliers to clarify product information and resolve technical issues.
  • Providing technical product information and advice to clients
  • Creating informative and engaging product information bulletins to update clients on changes to products and services.
  • Providing technical product training to staff

Skills and experience that we are looking for:

  • HNC qualification or equivalent in engineering, marketing, communications, or other technical field, or demonstrated technical experience to an equivalent level.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) is highly desirable.
  • Experience of publishing software such as Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop etc) is highly desirable.
  • Experience of SolidWorks or other CAD software advantageous but not essential
  • Experience of using ERP system beneficial but not essential
